Family papers, 1829-1957.

The collection contains correspondence, diaries, genealogies, legal documents, financial records, and maps generated by the Haworth family of West Newton, Ind. Also included are drafts and typescripts of poems, novels, and monographs written by Paul L. Haworth. Visual materials include two watercolor paintings and children's art work. Correspondence includes letters to Haworth from trappers and guides living in British Columbia, Canada, and politicians and publishers. Also included are letters from Canadian author Agnes C. Laut. Family correspondence includes letters between Haworth and his parents, and letters from Anna Ruth and Leon Wallace to Martha Ackerman Haworth. Other items include Rosa Haworth's personal papers, Fanny (Horner) Haworth's diaries, financial documents concerning the family orchard at West Newton, Ind., and genealogical material concerning the Haworth family. Photographs include lantern slides documenting Haworth's expedition to British Columbia in 1917 and family photographs.
